As a (one-time) New Year’s Eve baby, I hereby (finally) declare myself a grown-up lady.
And I figured out something this year about youth.
You don’t lose it. You trade it — for courage, confidence, clarity, earned skills, deeper love, greater faith, grace, forgiveness and a better sense of humor about yourself and your world.
You trade it for the you that you were always meant to be, and all things considered, that’s not a bad deal.
