David has recently joined the faculty of the Vermont College M.F.A. program in Writing for Children and Young Adults.

DeGroat is the creator of the best-selling “Gilbert” holiday series, including Roses Are Pink, Your Feet Really Stink (HarperCollins, 1996) and Trick or Treat, Smell My Feet (HarperCollins, 1998).
