Cynsations Fall Hiatus

By Gayleen Rabakukk

Thank you for being a Cynsations reader!

Effective immediately, the Cynsations digital magazine is on hiatus. We’ll return the week of Nov. 27 with more inspiration, insights and information on children’s-YA writing, illustration, literature and publishing.

In the meantime, keep up on all those topics with Cynthia Leitich Smith on FacebookInstagram, and Twitter.

At Cynsations, we celebrate Native authors and illustrators all year long, but we know teachers and child-caregivers may be searching for titles with supplemental educational and/or entertaining resources at this time of year.

Check out We Need Diverse Books‘ new resource, Indigenous Reads Rising that includes articles about best practices, along with book lists by age category and topic, along with resources for educators, librarians, booksellers, families and writers. Cynthia has also assembled a list of Native children’s and young adult (teen) books along with supplemental educational and/or entertaining resources.

Additional resources are also available on Cynthia’s Pinterest Board.

Happy reading and writing from the entire Cynsations team!
