Cynsations Winter Hiatus

By Cynthia Leitich Smith

Happy Holidays, Cynsational readers!

Effective immediately, this blog is on hiatus. We’ll return after the ALA Midwinter Conference with more inspiration, insights, and information on children’s-YA writing, illustration, literature and publishing. In the meantime, you’re welcome keep up on all those topics with me on FacebookInstagram, Pinterest and Twitter.

That said, over the next several weeks, you may also want to, say, move away from the screen, take a leisurely walk with your Chihuahua, stream “Wonder Woman 1984,” connect with loved ones or more fully embrace your creative pursuits. In any case, be sure to stay socially distanced and wear a mask. Or, in other words, please prioritize your mental and physical health as well as those folks who’re around you.

But first, join me in raising a cup of cocoa to Cynsations Editor-in-Chief Gayleen Rabakukk, Managing Editor Stephani Martinell Eaton, Industry News Reporter Gail Vannelli, and Intern Suma Subramaniam as well as our beat and at-large reporters Carol Coven Grannick, Kim Rogers, Robin Galbraith, Christopher Cheng, Angela Cerrito, Elisabeth Norton, Linda Joy Singleton, Rebecca Kirshenbaum, and Bree Bender!

This phenomenal team has produced ongoing, high quality content, fostering community during a year of unprecedented challenges.

They are absolutely wonderful.

And so are you.

Thank you for your ongoing support. We appreciate you.
